One of the best things to pack when traveling in Mexico + anywhere 3rd world I guess

Here in Cabo San Lucas for a wedding of my friend. Anywhere you turn someone wants to sel you water. About $10 a gallon.

So with this in mind

Be a friend to your wallet. Bring one of those small katadyn filters.

Are nalgenes safe for long term? Do any chemicals leach into the water?

i know you are not supposed to wash nalgene bottles with chemicals. the bottle degrades and releases estrogen like compounds.

Stick the Nalgene bottle in the microwave at 100% for about 30 to 50 seconds! This method of debugging bact works good -- except on thin plastic water bottles...
